Meet the Precision Dermatology team

Dr. Tarantino is a board-certified dermatologist and fellowship-trained Mohs and reconstructive surgeon, dedicated to delivering expert, compassionate care to every patient. He earned his medical degree from the University of Missouri – Kansas City School of Medicine, graduating summa cum laude and earning induction into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. His training includes a preliminary year at Children’s Mercy in Kansas City and a dermatology residency at the University of Kansas Medical Center. He then completed a fellowship in Micrographic Surgery and Dermatologic Oncology (Mohs Surgery) at DermSurgery Associates and Houston Methodist Hospital. Dr. Tarantino is board certified by both the American Board of Dermatology and the American College of Mohs Surgery. He trained under Dr. Leonard Goldberg, a direct trainee of Frederic Mohs, MD, and has specialized expertise in treating melanoma and performing facial reconstructive surgery. He serves as President of the Kansas Society of Dermatology and Dermatologic Surgery, is a former President of the Kansas City Dermatology Society, and is currently the team dermatologist for the Sporting KC soccer team.

Chelsey Tarantino is a board-certified Adult-Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner. She holds a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) from the University of Cincinnati and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from National University.

Licensed in both Kansas and Missouri, Chelsey is certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and has extensive clinical experience in a variety of dermatologic settings. She is committed to ongoing education, staying current with the latest advancements in technology and evidence-based practices to deliver advanced dermatologic care and ensure optimal patient outcomes.

With over a decade of nursing experience, Chelsey’s career has spanned multiple specialties—from pediatric intensive care to outpatient dermatology clinics. This diverse background allows her to offer a comprehensive, patient-centered approach to skin health, focusing on both medical and aesthetic concerns.

Chelsey’s clinical interests include general dermatology, skin cancer treatment, and cosmetic dermatology. She is dedicated to helping patients feel confident in their appearance by combining advanced clinical expertise with an artistic eye. Utilizing medical-grade skincare, Botox, dermal fillers, and PDO threads, she delivers safe, natural-looking results tailored to each individual.
